That's what I call a footlong!

The cukes arrived on the scene this week in abundance. Fat, juicy and crisp. I planted them "up" this year, placing a trellis next to the plant for the shoots to climb. And climb they did. 

The cucumbers dangled from the trellis unblemished by any contact with the ground. Perfect and green on all sides.

It's amazing how a little plate of sliced cukes doused in an icy vinegar can refresh on a hot summer day.
